In Presence 3.08, the rhythmic structure of the series becomes considerably more restrained. While in earlier works colour actively shaped distinct energetic zones, here it seems to gradually fade and dissolve into light.
A dense field of recurring arcs extends across the entire composition, yet its intensity changes from bottom to top. Saturated blue, violet, burgundy, and yellow impulses in the lower section gradually transition into pink before almost disappearing into the luminous space above. This creates a sense of movement from the material to the immaterial, from concentration to dispersion.
At the same time, the texture remains present even where colour has almost vanished. This is precisely what interests me most in this work: presence no longer requires an intense visual signal. It can become almost invisible while continuing to exist as rhythm, trace, and memory of movement.
The arc-like signs once again evoke waves, imprints, or fragments of an unknown system for recording energy. Yet in this work, rather than defining space, they gradually dissolve into it.
Presence 3.08 explores the threshold beyond which the visible ceases to be material. Presence does not disappear — it transitions into another state, remaining within space as a barely perceptible vibration.
