In Presence 5.01, space is once again constructed through linear rhythm, yet it becomes considerably calmer and more meditative. There is no sharp collision between fields; instead, there is a sense of one state slowly transitioning into another.
The composition evokes a landscape: a luminous upper field, a narrow saturated horizon, and an expansive blue-turquoise field below. Yet this is only the first reading. Viewed more closely, the “landscape” dissolves into countless horizontal traces, waves, and subtle textural vibrations.
The boundary between the upper and lower sections becomes particularly significant. Dense dark-red horizontal lines seem to mark a threshold state — a point of transition between two environments. Above, the line gradually dissolves into light; below, it loses its geometric stability and transforms into a wave.
Presence 5.01 explores the moment of transition between different states of space. The horizontal structure gradually shifts from an almost motionless line into a wave-like rhythm, transforming an implied horizon into a boundary where two energy fields interact.
