After Winter captures an almost imperceptible moment of transition between seasons. The snow has already melted, revealing the earth, last year's fallen leaves, and bare trees. At first glance, the landscape may still resemble late autumn, yet the light has already changed — warmer, softer, and filled with the anticipation of spring.

The earth still retains the muted ochre, brown, and grey-violet tones of winter. Among them, the first touches of green appear only here and there. The delicate, web-like branches of the trees gradually begin to acquire colour, as though nature were slowly returning to life.

A small stream cutting through the earth introduces a sense of movement into the still landscape. Water, warmth, and light become the first signs of a change that remains almost invisible, yet is already present.

After Winter is a landscape of the anticipation of awakening. Spring has not yet openly revealed itself — it exists in the light, in the water, in the barely perceptible colour of the branches, and in the air itself. Nature stands on the threshold between two states, when stillness continues to prevail on the surface, while a new cycle of life is already beginning within.
