Reflections 03 continues the gradual process of releasing the landscape from a specific image. The horizon remains only as a thin line at the lower edge of the composition, while the main pictorial space transforms into an interaction between two chromatic states — intense blue and soft pink.

The large fields of colour have no clearly defined boundaries. They merge through irregular edges, interruptions, and textural traces, creating a sense of moving air, shifting light, or an atmospheric mass in transformation. At the same time, the material quality of pastel emphasises the surface of the work and disrupts the illusion of traditional landscape space.

What interests me here is the state between the presence and disappearance of an image. The actual landscape becomes almost invisible, yet its sensation remains — in the relationship between colours, the barely perceptible horizon, the sense of scale, and the experience of distance.

Within the Reflections series, this work approaches the boundary between landscape and abstraction. What has been seen is no longer represented directly, but remains as a visual trace — a kind of memory of space.
