In Mozart Sonata, musical structure is transformed into a complex system of colour relationships. The composition is constructed from rectangular modules of varying scales, forming a rhythmic field that is both visually intense and precisely organized.
Colour functions here as a musical tone, while changes in the width, length, and sequence of coloured planes correspond to shifts in duration and intonation. Yellow, blue, red, green, violet, and orange fragments enter into a continuous dialogue, while black planes create pauses and counterpoints, holding the overall structure together.
Despite the high density of elements, the composition never becomes chaotic. On the contrary, it reveals an inner logic of musical construction: motifs are repeated, varied, juxtaposed, and reintroduced at different scales. Individual colour “phrases” seem to flow into one another, creating a polyphonic visual space.
Mozart Sonata is an attempt not to illustrate music, but to transform the principles of its organization into a painterly language. Sound becomes colour, musical interval becomes spatial relationship, and rhythm becomes the structure of the pictorial plane.
